The Levelogger 5 LTC groundwater sampler combines conductivity, pressure, and temperature sensors in one compact device. With a battery lasting 8 years, this device is almost maintenance-free.
Combining a datalogger, 8-year battery, Hastelloy® pressure sensor, temperature detector, and conductivity sensor within a small waterproof housing, 7/8″ x 7.5″ (22 mm x 190 mm), it is a state-of-the-art device for hydrogeological research. The Titanium ceramic PVD coating protects the body against corrosion and other hazards. It features a 4-electrode platinum sensor, with auto-ranging capabilities, and is simple to clean and calibrate in the field. Using Levelogger Software, it monitors conductivity, temperature, and temperature-compensated groundwater levels. Memory is non-volatile and stores up to 27,000 sets of readings.

Use Calibration and Data Wizards for the calibration process and barometric compensation, and display corrected data. Program your preferences, download and display data in the field, and export to other formats/software. Use Real-Time View option to monitor live conductivity, water level, and temperature readings. Installation is done with direct read cables or wireline/cord suspension. This device is SDI-12 compatible via Solinst SDI-12 Interface Cable. Compatible with the 9500 LevelSender telemetry system, for sending data via email or SMS.
Biofoul Screen
If deployed over a long time, the pressure sensor and/or conductivity cell can become compromised. To prevent this, the Biofoul Screen is designed to reduce the buildup of microorganisms on the instrument sensors. It consists of a Delrin sleeve wrapped with copper wire and simply slips onto the sensor end of an LTC Levelogger Edge.
The natural anti-fouling characteristics of copper lengthen the deployment of the instrument, reducing maintenance and improving long-term performance.
An optional Biofoul Screen for harsh environments provides extra protection for the Levelogger 5 LTC pressure and conductivity sensors
