The displacement crack gauge monitors horizontal and displacement movement where there is a step across a crack due to displacement of “out-of-plane” movement.
The gauge consists of a base plate (not calibrated),a top plate (calibrated) and a graduated ruler.
The ruler is removed from the gauge when not taking a measurement, but used to measure the relative movement in the plates. Can be fixed to the surface with screws or adhesive (not included). Supplied with instructions and record sheet.
